Productions at Hickory House Studios are co-produced by owners Carson Jungmichel and Christian Manuel, who met while studying Audio Engineering at Belmont University. What started as a shared passion for music turned into Hickory House Studios. Their complementary skill sets bring depth, diversity, and detail to every project. While Carson and Christian frequently produce tracks on their own, they also have the ability to draw from a trusted network of Nashville’s top session musicians when a track calls for something extra.

As a Nashville native, Carson Jungmichel grew up with drumsticks in his hands and faders at his fingertips. Raised in a musical family, he was exposed to a wide range of genres and recordings, shaping his distinct perspective as a producer, mixer and drummer. In 2024, Carson earned his degree in Audio Engineering from Belmont University,
As a Nashville native, Carson Jungmichel grew up with drumsticks in his hands and faders at his fingertips. Raised in a musical family, he was exposed to a wide range of genres and recordings, shaping his distinct perspective as a producer, mixer and drummer. In 2024, Carson earned his degree in Audio Engineering from Belmont University, where he honed his craft in some of Nashville’s finest studios.
Now bringing that experience to Hickory House, Carson serves as one of the two lead producers, engineers, and mixers. While he loves every aspect of production, his favorite part is watching a song evolve from a rough demo into a polished, radio-ready release—with a happy client.
Outside of the studio Carson enjoys a nice glass of bourbon next to a freshly manicured lawn.

Christian Manuel’s lifelong obsession with music and writing has evolved into a full-time career as a music producer. Inspired early on by his father—a gigging musician who handed him his first guitar—Christian quickly dove into the world of sound. From orchestras and jazz bands to bluegrass ensembles and beyond, his formative years immersed him in a wide array of musical styles.
As a producer, Christian thrives on the creative process—meticulously planning the details of each new project and seeing it through to completion. His time at Belmont University, where he gained hands-on experience in top-tier recording studios, writers rooms, and performance groups, gave him a solid foundation for a dynamic career in music.
When he’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find Christian exploring nature with his girlfriend and their fluffy dog.
